Technology has advanced in many ways over the years. With these many advancements the way that health care providers are communicating is being revolutionized. One of the many advancements that is aiding in communication is the use of electronic charting. This advancement is making communication happen at a rapid rate between all levels of heath care providers and even the patient, because the information can be sent through e-mail. In addition, there are many machines that are helping reduce the workload of nurses. This is because these machines can document, display the client’s important information and even take vital signs. With all of these advancements in the health care system, who knows what the future will bring?
Hey there again! Thank GOD this week is finally done!!!! I must say it was challenging and eventful but I have to remember that this is what the Nursing profession is going to be about! I must say all my group meetings were successful along with my group presentations, they all went well! I am also very proud to say that I was successful in completing my final SPOT test which is such a relief! Now all that I need to do is, start studying for finals!!! Which I am lucky enough to only to have three! I can wait for the Christmas break though, because this will be the first time that I will finally be able to relax!!! And before I know it I’m going to be back in school. So I need to remember to enjoy and take one day at a time!!! Well good luck to all other Nursing students on their finals and Happy Holidays to all!
Hey there readers! I am writing this blog as mental preparation for next week. As I’m sure you can already tell by the title; next week, is going to be one of the most action packed weeks that I will be experiencing this semester. My week starts off with meeting for a group project due that Friday, then meeting for another group project, and throw in a grammar quiz Oooo yes and how could I forget to end the week, I have a presentation and paper due in one class that counts for 70% of my mark and to end that day I have a final SPOT test encompassing a situation that I’m unaware of until I arrive to complete it!!! And the SPOT test is either pass or fail!!!! PS on top of all this yes I still have class!!! So in order for me to stay sane I try and relax and listen to some music!! Right now I'm enjoying Jason Marz- I’m yours! This song has a relaxing Caribbean tune to it!!! I try to close my eyes and think that someday I will go to a Caribbean destination again! Click down blow to enjoy the song and video!!!!
Hey there again fellow readers! Just letting you know that this week has been fairly hectic yet again! It started out with the return of our dreaded midterm marks, which for all my hard work had paid off! However, after becoming relived with getting these marks back, I was yet again hit in the face with my exam schedule for December. After finishing one set of major tests here was my next set! Then when all of these dates were done being given out, I started to organize my planner for the month of November. Soon after doing this, I then become overwhelmed by realizing that I had nearly five assignments that were due in a two week period! AND I still had to start doing all of these assignments on top of getting ready for my finals!!!!! Stay tuned for more of my HECTIC weeks to come!!!!
Hello readers! Last week was a short week but one of the toughest ones. Thank god it is now DONE! My week started off with a midterm that I was told to study four chapters which seemed like the entire book! And trust me this book is over 1000 pages! Then as the week came to an end, I was smacked in the face with SPOT testing, and this is when I go and check my partner’s vital signs. Your vital signs consist of pulse, blood pressure, temperature and breathing rate. This was done while having a teacher breathing down my neck and a timer ticking away right next to me. And in the end my partner and I both passed!!! Leading up to a good way to start the weekend!!!
Hello other members of the nursing community, instructors and general members of the public. Welcome to the many adventures of my nursing journey!!!! My name is Natasha and I am currently attending the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, this is a strong technological school!!!! So far my nursing student career has been quite challenging, these challenges will help me become the nurse that I want to be at the end of my four years!!! This idea of blogging, seem like a new and exciting thing since I am attending a technologically advanced school, it also is a good way for me to reflect and learn from all the experiences that I am going through. I am looking forward to reading other nursing student experiences!!!!
